The Write Stuff Surgical Sustainability
I’m a new surgical director. At my facility, OR personnel don’t wear name badges because they consider it like jewelry, which is prohibited in the OR. However, I’ve never heard of this practice before and believe the Joint Commission requires name badges. To me, this is a ridiculous point to be arguing, but my staff is very stuck in old traditions; therefore, I would like to give them specifics about what other facilities do. What’s protocol in your OR?
